This spring, Osgood Bank is launching a debit card reissue initiative to upgrade your experience with better security, faster transactions, and the latest in contactless payment technology. These improvements are part of a larger Mastercard®  initiative to enhance security and fraud prevention across the global payment network. Why are we reissuing debit cards?

We are enhancing our card system to provide:

• Contactless tap-to-pay convenience
• Improved fraud protection and performance
• A smoother, more modern banking experience.

Your new card will replace your existing one and come with a new number and expiration date for improved account security.

As part of its roadmap, Mastercard® continues to prioritize user safety, introducing advanced fraud detection tools, improved encryption, and stronger account controls across its network. By participating in this reissue, Osgood Bank debit cards will align with these enhanced protections and help safeguard your finances from evolving cyber threats.

What you need to know

• Starting in April, cards will be mailed to customers who have active Osgood Bank debit cards.
• Once activated, the old card will be deactivated.
• Be sure to update any recurring payments tied to your old card number.

If your current card hasn’t been used in the past 6 months, you may receive a call from us to confirm whether you’d like a new one issued.

• Contactless Payments. Just tap, enter your PIN, and go at checkout for faster, safer transactions.
• Card Controls. Use the Osgood Bank mobile app to freeze/unfreeze your card, set spending limits, and monitor real-time activity.

How to prepare

• Keep an eye on your mailbox.
• Activate your new card immediately once it arrives.
• Update subscriptions, streaming services, and other auto-pay accounts with your new card info.
  • Don’t want your card on third-party websites? Check out Bill Pay where you can manage your payments all in one place.
• Add your new card to your mobile wallet and card controls for added convenience and protection.
