Triple the Fun: Osgood Bank's Tailgate Recap - Loramie Gate, Spirit Night, and Flyer Gate 2023

As we said goodbye to summer, Osgood Bank continued its tradition of bringing communities together with not one, not two, but three incredible tailgate events. Flyer Gate, Loramie Gate, and Spirit Night 2023 were all smashing successes - showcasing the power of community spirit, football fever, and a shared love of high school sports.

Loramie Gate 2023: A Tradition Continues

For 19 years, Osgood Bank has hosted the tradition known as Loramie Gate. This year's event was held on Friday, August 25.

From 5pm to 7pm, the field between Osgood Bank's Fort Loramie Branch and the Fort Loramie High School football stadium was transformed into a vibrant community gathering. The team served up over 700 hot dogs and distributed over 500 t-shirts to community members. 

The event was full of excitement, with a DJ keeping the tunes going, face painters creating works of art, and a temporary tattoo station embellishing fans with school logos. Thanks to an amazing team and supportive community partners, this tradition continues to thrive.

We would also like to thank local first responders, including EMS, Fire Department, and Sheriff’s Office, who joined in the festivities.

Spirit Night 2023: A Lakers Celebration

The courtyard outside of Indian Lake Stadium was buzzing with excitement on September 1 as we celebrated a decade of Spirit Nights. From 5pm to 7pm, the community gathered to share their Lakers school spirit. Over 300 hotdogs were served and approximately 450 t-shirts were shared, thanks to the generous support of our sponsors. 

The evening was a whirlwind of fun. The DJ set the mood, face painters added a splash of color, and temporary tattoos adorned fans big and small. It was the perfect way to get everyone in the game-day spirit. 

A heartfelt thank you is extended to Indian Lake Schools and the dedicated team at Osgood Bank for helping this event to run seamlessly.

Flyer Gate 2023: A Marion Local Extravaganza

With picture-perfect weather, the turnout at Flyer Gate 2023 exceeded all expectations, and the excitement was palpable. On September 8, the Marion Local Booster Stadium lawn was a sea of people, all laughing, conversing, and enjoying every moment - especially the kids. By 6:40 pm, we served 1,200 hotdogs, 1,296 cookies, 516 cans of pop, and 832 bags of chips!! 

Kids played, danced, and adorned themselves with Flyer tattoos. We would like to send an extra special thank you to the four Marion Local students who graciously volunteered to paint faces this year. With their help, the line flowed smoothly and we didn't have to turn down any requests for face paint. With the popularity of this activity, their volunteerism made a huge difference!

As always, the Flyer Gate shirts were a huge hit yet again. We distributed over 1,000 shirts for free to the attendees.

In a display of support, local first responders, including Osgood EMS, Chickasaw Volunteer Fire Department, and the Mercer County Sheriff’s Office, joined the fun to showcase their apparatuses, answer questions, and spend time with the community.
