Summary:
Through face-to-face and virtual interactions with customers, you will have the opportunity to provide exceptional service by handling financial transactions accurately and efficiently with bank systems. Using a combination of professionalism and friendly attitude, you will help customers manager their daily banking, solve problems, and achieve their financial goals.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Functions:
Ensure proper storage and security of currency in cash drawers and vaults
Adhere to all bank security standards- including dual control requirements
Count, package, and maintain currency according to bank policy and procedures
Understand components of a check and different types of checks, negotiability and acceptability, handling forged and altered items, types of endorsements, and handling valid and forged signatures
Identify acceptable types of identification and handling of forged and altered identification
Have knowledge of Funds Availability rules and place Regulation CC Holds when necessary
Operate Teller Capture Machine, Coin Machine, and Cash Jet Sort regularly
Process a variety of transactions, including withdrawals from deposit accounts, payments to loans/credit cards, and advances from lines of credit
Scan and image documentation and complete workflows
Issue cashier's checks, process stop payments, and initiate wire transfers
Basic understanding of expectations for Bank Secrecy Act (BSA)/OFAC
Complete necessary maintenance forms and requests
Complete Mature Certificate of Deposit courtesy calls
Support Functions:
Assist others with miscellaneous tasks, mailings, and calls
Customer Care Functions:
Greet customers and answer phones promptly with a friendly attitude
Build customer rapport
Be familiar with bank products and services to recommend and offer new services to customers based on their needs.
Qualifications:

Education:
Associate degree in business administration or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Knowledge of account, tax laws, and spreadsheet applications. Prior banking experience is preferred.

Provide personalized service to customers through issue resolution, completing customer requests, and partnering with the Deposit Processing team to provide solid customer service.

Mail bank notices, checks, and welcome letters
Complete Fraud Monitoring communication and escalate case filings
Review mobile deposit checks
Process customer request forms
Order checks for customers
Support Functions:
Assist with data retention and regular clean up
Be familiar with banking regulations and responsibilities relating to each - including a working knowledge of account maintenance
Customer Care Functions:
Answer outside incoming calls and emails to assist with issue resolution as necessary
Demonstrate positive phone etiquette to enhance the customer experience
Maintain the highest level of confidentiality with all information obtained
Respond to and complete customer requests
Assist business customers with online banking and debit card set up
