At Osgood Bank, we believe that a dedicated team makes a difference when it comes to customer experiences. Allow us to introduce you to the amazing people who are committed to helping you do well and be good.

Meet Brittney. She has an eye for detail and keeps us on track. Let's learn more about our BSA/Compliance Officer.

Brittney, tell us about your relationship with Osgood Bank.

This August will be my 10-year anniversary with Osgood Bank. When I started here, I was fresh out of college with a degree in Business Administration. At the time, I was unsure of what direction I wanted to go with my career. I had student loan payments coming due and I needed a job. I started working at Osgood Bank as a teller and was given the opportunity to assist other departments with various projects. From there, I moved on to working in other departments of the bank, learning as much as I could along the way, and trying to find my place. Compliance is my place. I thoroughly enjoy my job and the people I work with even more!

What does a typical day look like for you?

I start my day with a fresh cup of coffee. As a mom of two energetic boys, by the time I get them to daycare and then to work, I need a pick-me-up. As for my role within the bank, I ensure compliance with Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Office of Foreign Asset Controls (OFAC), which are various government regulations related to banking, along with various other compliance-related regulations. In order for a bank to maintain its charter and maintain FDIC insurance coverage, the bank must be able to demonstrate that they are following various laws, rules, and regulations and have appropriate policies and procedures in place. I conduct reviews and audits, and provide training to employees to ensure Osgood Bank meets or exceeds those requirements.

Which of Osgood Bank's values most resonates with you and why?

Unity & Teamwork. There's so much that goes on in a bank on any given day. For all those things to happen, we must do our part and work together to get those things accomplished. I've always firmly believed that family comes before work, and Osgood Bank allows us to put our families first. Whether it be maternity leave, vacation, or needing to be somewhere to support someone we care about, there's always someone here that will step up to maintain the workload when we need to put ourselves or our families first.

If you got an unexpected day off work, what would you do with your free time?

I thoroughly spending any extra time I have with family. I love being a mom and spending time with my kiddos. With unexpected free time, I'd have a PJ day with my boys.

What's your favorite purchase you made this past year?

Lots of organizing items. I've always been very neat and organized. However, since having kids (which means accumulating a bunch of toys and all of the other things that go along with parenthood), there's not been much neatness. So this year has entailed a lot of organizing to help make all of those things fit in our house neatly - or at least try to!

What is your cell phone wallpaper right now?

A picture of my boys. Nolan is 3 and Wyatt is 18 months.
