Does the thought of changing everything stress you out? Osgood Bank has you covered!

We now offer a Switch Kit that will make moving your banking relationship to Osgood Bank so easy you'll wonder why you didn't do it sooner!

What is this Switch Kit, you ask?

The Switch Kit is a tool designed to help you organize all of the information you need to make Osgood Bank your primary financial institution. It includes forms to help you close accounts at another financial institutions, set up any direct deposit(s) to your new account, and change automatic payments that you tied to the accounts you are closing.

Follow these five steps to do well and be good. Along the way, make sure you exercise caution and keep any sensitive account information secure.

Step 1: Open Your New Account

Give us a call or stop in! Speaking to one of our Customer Service Representatives will give you the opportunity to learn more about our products and services - and we can learn more about you. We can help you choose the perfect mix to help meet your financial goals. If you're ready to make the change, be sure to bring three important things with you:

    • One form of government-issued photo ID (such as a driver's license)

    • One other form of ID with your name and address on it (utility bills are great for this)

    • Proof of your social security number (we like to see your social security card to make sure you're you)

You can find more information about our checking accounts and read FAQ's here

Step 2: Gather Your Info

Use the Transaction Checklist to organize your personal banking transactions. This important step will help ensure that your transition to Osgood Bank is smooth. Our Transaction Checklist will reduce the possibility of missing something important after closing your other accounts.

Step 3: Reroute Your Direct Deposits

Use the Direct Deposit Authorization Form to provide your employer with updated account number(s). This form can also be used with most other organizations that make direct deposits into your account. You can even indicate that you want to split your deposits between a checking and savings account.

Step 4: Update Automatic Payments

The Automatic Payment Authorization Form can be used to inform your current creditors that your account number(s) have been updated. Any company using the Automated Clearing House (ACH) from your current account will be able to make the switch with no hassle when you authorize the change with the form we are providing. In some cases, you may also be able to update your billing information through the creditor's website. Just be careful to verify you are providing your private account information to the right people.

Step 5: Close Your Old Account

Once all outstanding items have cleared your old account at your previous financial institution, and you have verified everything is flowing through your new Osgood Bank account, there's only on step left. Use the Account Closing Letter to inform your previous financial institution that you wish to close your account(s). By providing this letter, you can designate that you want any remaining funds sent to you. Once you receive that check, you can use our Mobile Deposit to place it right into the Osgood Bank account you choose.
